(Athol, MA) Sad news this year for River Rat Race lovers. The Athol Lions Club has announced that the 2021 River Rat Race, scheduled for this April, has been canceled. The decision was made due to uncertainties associated with vaccine availability and concerns for public safety. This is the second year in a row the River Rat Race has ben cancelled due to COVID-19. The next River Rat Race is scheduled to take place in 2022.
