(Bernardston, MA) Massachusetts State Police made a major drug bust early Tuesday morning. At approximately 1am, a Chevrolet Silverado was spotted going more than 20mph above the speed limit at 88mph. During the stop, the trooper observed numerous items consistent with the sale, transport, and use of narcotics. A search of the vehicle was performed and 200 wax baggies containing a substance suspected to be heroin, approximately 10 grams of a substance suspected to be crystal methamphetamine, nine pills, and approximately two grams of a substance suspected to be cocaine.

When a K-9 search was performed the dog alerted to the dashboard, which allegedly had been tampered with. Troopers found 16 large brick with 300 bags of suspected fentanyl and heroin. One of the occupants, Jesse Pease, had an active warrant for his arrest. Pease, along with Brooke Rowell and Benjamin Kendall, were placed under arrest and charged with trafficking of heroin, possession of a class A substance, possession of a class B substance, possession of a class E substance, and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Kendall was additionally charged with speeding and license plate violation. Rowell was additionally charged with tampering with evidence.
