Opposition Builds Against Moving Sixth Graders To Pioneer Regional School

A total of 350 people have signed a petition against the Pioneer Valley Regional School District School Committee’s vote to move sixth grade classes to the Pioneer Valley Regional School this fall. Currently there are sixth grade classes at Bernardston Elementary and Northfield Elementary School. The school committee voted to bring the 6^th grade students to Pioneer at their meeting in December. Parents have expressed concern about making the change during a year where students have been in and out of remote learning models.
