(Wendell, MA) A chimney fire in Wendell drew response from many area fire departments yesterday. Firefighters from Wendell, New Salem, Shutesbury, Montague, Erving and Turners were at 274 Locks Village Road after a call came in around 12:40pm. The fire was originally thought to be in the roof but once at the scene, firefighters determined that the blaze was contained in the chimney and their was no damage reported to the home. There were no injuries reported.
