GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The 103rd Greenfield Winter Carnival is coming this weekend, with a wide variety of activities for families to enjoy all over the city. However, due to the forecast of adverse weather conditions for Friday, several events will shift to Saturday.

Due to weather conditions on Friday, January 31, several Winter Carnival events have been postponed to Saturday, February 1. Please see the list below:
- Polar Patio at Mesa Verde – Scheduled for Saturday, February 1 from 12 – 8 PM.
- Downtown Defrost, hosted by the Greenfield Business Association – Re-scheduled to Saturday, 4 – 8 PM at Court Square.
- Parade of Lights – Re-scheduled to Saturday, February 1 at 6 PM.
- Beacon Field Fireworks – Re-scheduled to Saturday, February 1 at 7 PM.
In addition, the city’s closing of the roads for the Parade of Lights will move from Friday, January 31 to Saturday, February 1 from 6 – 7 PM. The parade route is as follows:
Assembling at Newton School parking lot processing along Shelburne Road to Mohawk Trail / Main Street, Federal Street, Beacon Street, crossing High Street at Beacon Street, Gerrett Street to Beacon Field.
Court Square’s closing will also move to Saturday, February 1, beginning at 3 PM.
