(Greenfield, MA) Due to the extreme heat, there are a number of cooling centers open in the City of Greenfield, including the John Zon Community Center, the Elm Terrace Meeting room, and the Oaks Court Community Center. The Splash Pad at Hillside Park is also open. The heat advisory remains in effect until 7:00pm on Wednesday, and temperatures are expected to approach 100 degrees.
Locations of Cooling Centers in the City of Greenfield:
John Zon Community Center / Greenfield Senior Center
35 Pleasant Street, Greenfield
Hours: Monday thru Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Details: Please follow current COVID health guidelines by wearing masks if you are unvaccinated. They can provide masks for unvaccinated individuals who may stop by. The Senior Center does NOT require membership for cooling center drop-ins.
Elm Terrace Meeting Room
One Elm Terrace, Greenfield
Hours: 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM
Details: Bottled water is available. Please follow current COVID health guidelines by wearing masks if you are unvaccinated.
Oak Courts Community Center
