GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has overseen the opening of approximately fifteen miles of new shared use paths this year.
Earlier this month, Massachusetts was ranked second in the country on the League of American Bicyclists’ 2024 list of Bicycle Friendly States. Highway Administrator Jonathon Gulliver said the new routes are “transforming” how people move in their communities.
