BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Schools in Franklin and Hampshire counties are among those receiving state grants to bring more locally grown food to students.
The Healey-Driscoll administration awarded $850,000 in FRESH grants to districts statewide, including $27,540 for Gill-Montague, $3,848 for Hatfield, and $6,710 for Orange.
The funding supports farm-to-school programs, gardening, and food literacy education to improve student nutrition.
