(GREENFIELD) — A high-speed chase Friday morning ended at the I-91 rotary in Greenfield. Massachusetts State Police are on the scene on the Mohawk Trail in Greenfield just east of the I-91 rotary. A pickup truck with Vermont plates was pulled over, searched, and an arrest has been made. Police had utilized spike strips to flatten the tires on the truck. The name of the driver has not been released.
Traffic coming off Interstate 91 was being diverted away from Route 2A East, and traffic coming westbound on the Mohawk Trail was being directed onto Miner Street.
Motorists who ordinarily use the rotary should be advised of the situation, and alternate routes are suggested. This is a breaking story, and we will have more details as they become available.
