Health officials in Massachusetts reported 1,820 new cases of COVID-19 and 60 new deaths yesterday. Also, 29 cases of the UK COVID variant have also been detected in the state. This strain of the virus was first detected in the state on January 17^th. The seven-day average of positive tests is at 2.17%. Franklin County is nearing 2,000 total COVID-19 cases with 1,909 reported.
