FRANKLIN COUNTY, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The towns of Ashfield, Deerfield, Greenfield, Orange, Shutesbury, and Whately are among the recipients of state Climate Resiliency grants totaling $52.4 million. Each of the towns have planned projects to respond to local climate impacts. Shutesbury is planning to implement solar panels with a battery backup system, Greenfield will use the funds for plantings at Millers Meadow.
