Man Dead After Apparent Drowning In Connecticut River

(Montague, MA) A 35 year old man is dead after an apparent drowning in the Connecticut River in Montague on Saturday. According to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office Welman Hernandez-Diaz, of Worcester, was swimming with a group of people at Rock Dam when he was reported to have gone under water. Montague Police, Montague Fire & Rescue, and Massachusetts State Police responded. Foul Play is not suspected.
