(Sunderland, MA) One Franklin County town has been flagged as a high risk community for COVID-19, meaning the town cannot proceed with Governor Charlie Baker’s COVID-19 reopening plan. Sunderland has been designated as a COVID-19 high risk community according to the Massachusetts Public Health reporting data. Nearby Amherst has also been given the high risk designation. According to Baker’s order, high risk communities must be designated as low risk for three successive weeks before they can proceed with COVID-19 reopening.
