(FALL RIVER, MA) –Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker says the Bay State continues to move in the right direction in the fight against the Covid 19 pandemic. Baker on Tuesday said that most indicators continue to trend in a positive direction, with new cases, hospitalizations, and deaths falling slightly, but steadily, over the last several days.

Baker says he and the state’s reopening advisory board will need to see a longer time span of continued positive numbers in the pandemic fight before the commonwealth can begin to move to the next phase of reopening the state’s economy. The Governor did not specify how long that time span would need to be, only saying the he and the advisory board would continue to be guided by the recommendations of the federal government’s task force as well as strategies utilized in countries that have successfully battled the pandemic.
