(Shelburne, MA) On January 1 around 10:30pm the Shelburne Fire Department responded to Carpenter Road for a report of a vehicle in Hinsdale Brook. The vehicle reportedly slid sideways around the curve on Carpenter Road, hitting the abutment, causing it to flip and eventually land on it’s wheels in the brook. According to the Shelburne Fire Department, seatbelts saved the operator from injury. The operator was able to climb out of the vehicle and call 9-1-1. Inclement weather is cited as the contributing factor to the accident.
