BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Governor Healey announced Monday that all hotel shelters will be closed by this summer, six months ahead of the original schedule as the caseload is projected to drop below 4,000 families this summer.
There are 32 remaining hotel shelters in the state, down from a peak of 100 in the summer in 2023.
