AMHERST, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The town of Amherst has announced Thursday that the downtown reconstruction project for the intersections of Main, Amity, North Pleasant, and South Pleasant Streets will begin this Friday, August 1st.
The project is estimated to take the next six to eight weeks between the hours of 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays. During the project, no parking will be allowed in the construction zones.
This timeframe will intersect with the UMass Amherst move-in, which begins August 25th.
