AMHERST, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Observant bystanders called in two fires caused by improper disposal of smoking materials this past weekend in Amherst, according to fire department officials. There are over 15,000 structure fires annually nationwide caused by improper disposal of smoking materials.
