(Deerfield, MA) The Deerfield Animal Control Officer, Calin Giurgiu said that he has not been alerted to the presence of a sick coyote in the town of Deerfield, but residents have spotted the coyote in and around homes in the area during the daylight hours. Giurgiu said there was a similar situation two years ago where he did get involved and the coyote was removed. Most coyotes are scared of people and dogs.
