(Hadley, MA) — Authorities have identified the man whose body was discovered in the Connecticut River this past Friday. Wasique Hasan, 21, was a University of Massachusetts student from Easthampton. Foul play is NOT suspected. In a related story, another body was discovered in the river near Hadley. A female kayaker spotted the body along the shoreline off River Drive. The identity of that victim is still being determined, but the Northwestern DA’s office says there does not appear to be any connection between the two incidents.
