(Springfield, MA) The Hamden District Attorney’s Office has evacuated the Rockland Ireland Building due to mold, said District Attorney Anthony Gulluni in a press conference. Gulluni said concerns have been growing and he felt that evacuation was warranted given the visible mold. Staff will return to the building when Guilluni is satisfied it is safe. A greater overhaul of the building is also necessary said Gulluni, who feels that if the building was closer to Boston it would have been taken care of. The public safety needs will still be met from an alternative location.

Laurie Loisel, Director of Communications from the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, said there is no known similar issue in the Franklin County Superior Courthouse.
