(Franklin County, MA) Money from the American Rescue Plan Act will be coming to the area to assist towns which where hit hard by rainstorms last July. $7.5 million will be allocated to towns in Franklin, Hampshire, Berkshire and Hamden Counties. One of the Franklin County towns hit hardest last July was Erving, which had several roads washed out and one bridge that needed to be removed. Damages were estimated at over $2 million. Neighboring Northfield estimated damages totaling $1.6 million. An amendment to the ARPA spending bill was filed by State Senator Adam Hinds to secure the funding.
