Ashfield Town Beach Closed Due To E Coli

(ASHFIELD)– Due to increased levels of e coli in Ashfield Lake, effective immediately the Board of Health has ordered the lake and beach closed until further notice. Additional testing is being conducted today, and pending the results, the lake and beach may be re-opened.

Greenfield Fire Department remembers 9/11 24 years later: “We will never forget”

On this 24th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks on America, the Greenfield Fire Department hosted a ceremony of remembrance at the fire station at 41 Main Street.

Fire Chief Robert Strahan addressed a small gathering of residents and GFD members. Strahan said September 11 this year was in some ways was very reminiscent of September 11, 2001.
