ASHFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — In the Ashfield Town Election, the write-in candidate for the Finance Committee won the vote, but the candidate, Kyle Taylor, declined to accept the position. Voters also approved the purchase of a new dump truck, with 136 yes votes to 43 no’s.
Ashfield’s Town Meeting was held the same day as the election, Saturday May 4th and in the meeting residents were asked to vote on 33 articles, 32 of which passed, including the Decarbonization Resolution and the Zero-Emission Vehicle Policy. A citizen’s petition on a Pesticide and Herbicide Resolution was tabled by majority vote.
