ATHOL, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Athol Fire Department has received their new $825,000 pumper truck, a purchase approved by voters in a Proposition 2 1/2 override and funded in part by an over $400,000 USDA Emergency Rural Healthcare Grant. The new pumper is replacing a 26 year old truck and has ben custom designed to suit the department’s needs and equipment.
