ATHOL, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Athol Senior Center has been closed Wednesday and will remain so until Monday, September 22nd while construction is underway in the parking lot that makes the entrance unsafe at this time.
The Athol Selectmen made the announcement this morning and said the closure was deemed necessary for the safety of Senior Center visitors and to allow the construction to be completed efficiently. The date for reopening is tentative at this time, as the work may be completed sooner or later than the 22nd.
Office staff at the Senior Center will be available by phone Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and discretionary appointments may be made as needed.
