ATHOL, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The town of Athol is holding their Annual Town Meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.
Residents will be voting on a $26.4 million operating budget for FY26, and increase of approximately 5.3% over the current year’s budget to account for health insurance increases and other employee benefits.
$1.3 million in capital expenses for the town will also be on the warrant for Monday’s meeting. The town is proposing $145,000 for fire station upgrades to the roof and exterior.
