(Greenfield, MA) — A property auction set for today in Greenfield has been temporarily postponed. Greenfield Mayor Roxann Wedegartner postponed today’s auction of the two parcels on Stone Ridge Lane. The land in question is privately owned, but has been used for years as recreational space by city residents. A number of groups including the Greenfield Conservation Commission have asked that the property be retained for recreational purposes, and Wedegartner has rescheduled the auction to October 6th to allow those discussions to take place.
