(Charlemont, MA) Avery’s General Store on Route 2 in Charlemont has announced that they will be closing their doors in the near future. Avery’s made the announcement that they would be going out of business on April 1st on social media.
The economic hardship of the pandemic coupled with the road construction during their busy, summer season created difficult conditions for the business to succeed. Avery’s has been around for over 150 years by the Avery family and became an employee-owned LLC in March of 2020. They have not yet set an official closing day and are inviting customers to stop in.
