(Boston, MA) Today Governor Charlie Baker updated the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on the progress of COVID-19 infections in the state. Baker said that infection rates have dropped, but hospitalizations due to COVID-19 are still high. Despite the high rate of hospitalization and the 3% infection rate, Baker has declined to mandate further shut downs in Massachusetts and encourages the residents to continue to observe COVID-19 precautions. However, he also said there is a light at the end of the COVID-19 tunnel with the upcoming vaccines.
