(BOSTON) — Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker is expected to announce new executive orders today related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to his daily schedule, Baker and Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito will announce changes affecting the reopening process due to recent increases in the number of cases and the hospitalizations across the state.
Sunday was the ninth consecutive day where the Massachusetts Department of Public Health has reported more than 1,000 new cases. The statewide total number of cases since the start of the pandemic is 155,660.
Baker will make the announcement at a news conference scheduled to 1:30 p.m.
