(BOSTON) — Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker is again stressing the importance of testing as the Commonwealth readies for a partial, phased reopening next week. Baker says while the state has been among those leading the way in terms of testing for Covid 19, more must be done. Baker says expanding testing goes hand-in-hand with the next steps, which are contact tracing and isolation of infected residents.

CVS says it is opening 10 new Covid 19 testing sites at Massachusetts pharmacies starting Friday. The sites will have self-swab test kits and instructions that people will be able to pick up at the drive-thru window. A trained CVS employee will witness the test, which will be sent to a lab for processing. Results will be available in about three days. Pre-registration is required at https://cvshealth.com/covid-19/testing-information-locations

Here are the CVS sites in Massachusetts that will offer the drive-thru testing starting Friday:

  • CVS Pharmacy, 142 Worcester Road, Charlton, MA
  • CVS Pharmacy, 44 West Boylston Street, Worcester, MA
  • CVS Pharmacy, 266 Route 44, Raynham, MA
