NORTHAMPTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Mark Opper, 56, of Belchertown, was arraigned this afternoon in Hampshire County Superior Court for the charge of murder, in connection with the fatal shooting of his wife, Diane Opper, 56, also of Belchertown. In this case, the Commonwealth alleges that Mark Opper shot and killed his wife inside their shared home on Daniel Shays Highway in Belchertown on March 27, 2026.
