Berkshire East Bike Rider Suffers Leg Injury, Airlifted To Hospital

(Charlemont, MA) — A mountain bike rider is recovering after suffering a serious injury during an accident at Berkshire East over the weekend. Ambulance crews from Charlemont, Hawley and Colrain responded to the ski area’s parking lot at around 12:30 Saturday to treat a juvenile with a serious leg injury. The youth was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment. He is expected to make a full recovery.
