BERNARDSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Two individuals from New Hampshire were arrested on multiple charges after a Bernardston Police Officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Friday, April 5th, which led to a vehicle search uncovering drugs and weapons. According to the Bernardston Police, the vehicle was stopped for several moving violations and upon suspicion of drug activity, K9 Artie from the Montague Police was brought to the scene.
When K9 Artie alerted on the vehicle, a full search uncovered 109 grams of crack cocaine, 16 grams of powder cocaine, heroin, 12 methadone pills, 4 Clorazepam pills, and 3 throwing stars.
One individual, a male, is being charged with Trafficking a Class B Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (3 Counts) and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Laws. According to police, the individual has “an extremely lengthy criminal history” and his bail was set at $40,000.
The second individual, a female, is being charged with Trafficking a Class B Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (3 Counts), Possession of a Class A Substance, Possession of a Class B Substance, Possession of a Class E Substance and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Laws. Her bail was set at $20,000.
