BERNARDSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — On Saturday, Bernardston residents voted in the Annual Town Meeting to pay off the new fire truck and approved a significant increase in EMS costs, which, according to town officials, is due to an aging population and more EMS calls coming in every year.
A citizen’s petition to put a Special Town Meeting in the books for every October was voted down, as residents preferred to call Special Town Meetings as needed.
