GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Following the Franklin Regional Council of Governments’ survey results which showed increases in youth vaping during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Greenfield Board of Health is seeking stricter regulations around the sale of tobacco products. The new regulations would increase penalties for selling tobacco products to underage individuals, among other changes like banning all flavored tobacco sales to bring the city into alignment with state regulations. A public hearing will be held on the proposed regulation updates this spring.
