(Chicopee, MA) A body was recovered from the Chicopee river today during an ongoing search for 11 year old Aiden Blanchard, missing from Chicopee. According to the Chicopee police department, at around 11:15am the Chicopee Police Department Under Water Response Team located a victim between the North End Bridge and the Memorial Bridge. The body was transported to the Hampden County Medical Examiner’s Office and identification is pending. Detectives from the Chicopee Police Detective Bureau and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit were called to the scene.
