(Greenfield, MA)  A business directory and community information kiosk was debuted on Friday in the Greenfield City Common. The kiosk features a 65-inch screen and is integrated with the city’s VisitGreenfieldMA.com website to showcase retail locations, restaurants, cultural venues, and other organizations in the city.

“This kiosk builds on the success of the visitgreenfieldma.com website that the city launched last summer,” said Community and Economic Development Grant Assistant Christian LaPlante. “It provides visitors to downtown with a new way to discover our local businesses and will be an important tool as we implement our recently completed downtown revitalization plan.

The project to develop an accessible information center was the result of the Massachusetts Local Rapid Recovery Planning Program in 2021 after the global pandemic and has been spearheaded by the Greenfield Community and Economic Development Department. Funds from a $47,500 Regional Economic Development Organization grant and financing from MassDOT Shared Streets grant were used to upgrade the electrical supply in the common and install the kiosk.
