(Whately, MA) – The Whately Fire Department is reminding the public to stay alert while driving after a white SUV struck a home, causing significant damage but no injuries. The accident occurred late afternoon Friday. Fire Chief John Hannum said the impact knocked the house off the foundation and caused significant damage to the front of the car. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
