WENDELL, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Wendell Fire Department has responded to two residences in the past several weeks where dangerously high carbon monoxide levels were present.
Carbon monoxide can cause fatal poisoning, and the recent incidents in Wendell were caused by an improperly installed woodstove pipe, and the malfunction of a modern, wall mounted condensing boiler.
The Wendell Fire Chief encourages residents to ensure they have functioning CO alarms in their homes.
