(Greenfield, MA) — An accused bank robber from Charlemont will remain in custody while awaiting trial. Thirty-eight-year-old David Jones of Charlemont was ordered held without the right to bail after a dangerousness hearing in connection with a robbery at People’s United Bank on King Street in Northampton on February 25th. Jones is alleged to have demanded money from a teller, implying that he had a gun, and was apprehended by Massachusetts State Police outside a Heath Stage Road home in Charlemont about an hour later.
