(Greenfield, MA) Wednesday evening’s City Council meeting lasted over five and a half hours as the council discussed and voted on capital improvement requests from the mayor for various city departments. Many residents came to speak on issues such as the zoning for a marijuana growth facility on Country Club Road, the police department improvements, and even concerns of speeding in the city. The agenda was completed with votes in favor and against many of the appropriations, even with amendments to reduce some of the allocations in the effort to support necessary department improvements, while being mindful of spending and borrowing in the city.
