(Combined Sources) A collapsed riverbank in Montague will receive some attention next week. The riverbank which is along the Connecticut River is getting close to Millers Falls Road. Next week the town will try to stabilize the riverbank with large rocks. An old leaky underground pipe may have led to the riverbank eroding. Officials are concerned that the eroding could reach the road which connects Turners Falls to Millers Falls and Erving. Officials stress that their plan is only temporary and a long term solution will be in place early next year.
