COLRAIN, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A Colrain ambulance sustained damage in a traffic collision Saturday morning, which caused Colrain Shelburne Road to be closed between Route 2 and Little Mohawk Road for several hours. Minor injuries were sustained, however everyone was able to walk away from the scene according to the Colrain Volunteer Ambulance Association.
The ambulance involved was A-2, a 2009 Chevrolet 4×4 Titan Class which was serving as a back up while A-1 was undergoing maintenance. A-1 was brought back into service and the town received mutual aid assistance from surrounding towns including Shelburne Falls Ambulance, Highland Ambulance and Northfield Ambulance during the incident to ensure coverage.
