COLRAIN, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) —  The Colrain Selectboard has approved the Fiscal Year 2025 Annual Town Meeting Warrant, for June 4th. Included in the 46 article warrant are a citizen’s petition to install a Stop sign at the bottom of Colrain Mountain on Route 112 south to improve safety of drivers coming down the mountain.

Another citizen’s petition is seeking to keep the historical plaster busts on display at the library, a subject that came up after the Library Trustees broached the subject of removing the busts from display.

Also on the warrant is a solar bylaw amendment to regulate large-scale ground-mounted solar projects, a short-term rental bylaw requiring owners to obtain an annual permit and limiting owners of multiple properties in town to using one at a time as a short-term rental, purchasing a new police cruiser for $80,000, and renovating a new office space at the Town Offices.
