COLRAIN, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Colrain portion of the Franklin County Pollinator Action Plan has been released and illustrates the unique opportunities and resources in Colrain to support the pollinator population.
Some initiatives underway include the pollinator garden at the Veteran Memorial Park and the Griswold Memorial Library’s plan to start and pollinator garden and do a no-mow front yard.

The town has also defined actionable items through education such as talks, workshops, garden or nursery tours, plant or seed exchanges, plant identification resources, site visits, educational materials, social media, and websites. As well as collaborating with the Highway Department, School District, and Agricultural Commission to determine best practices.
