(Conway, MA) Tomorrow, Wednesday May 11th, composting services return to the transfer station in Conway. The process will be the same as it was before and there will be 64 gallon carts for organic material that will be brought to Martin’s Farm in Greenfield.

According to the Conway town website, “25% of household trash is organic material that can be diverted to a compost collection or compost bin.” To support their effort to reduce waste, residents also have access to subsidized Earth Machine backyard compost bins for $25.

By the weekend, Conway residents will also be able to dispose of vegetable and animal fats in a drum that will be next to the compost carts. The Conway Town Clerk would like to remind people not to put other oils in this drum and to please see transfer station attendants for automotive or other oils.
