CONWAY, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The first in Franklin County, Conway has banned nicotine products from being sold to anyone born after May 12th, 2004 within the town.

The ban is part of what is being called the “nicotine-free generation initiative” and a similar initiative is currently in the State House, to prohibit tobacco sales to people born in 2026 and beyond.

Currently, Conway is one of just three towns in western Massachusetts with bans aligned with the initiatives. Conway has one store selling tobacco and nicotine products, Baker’s Country Store.
