(undated) — The number of COVID 19 cases in Massachusetts has reached nearly 55-thousand. The state Department of Public Health reports there are now 54,938 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Massachusetts, including 2,899 deaths. There were 1,590 new confirmed cases in the state Sunday, with an additional 169 new deaths were also reported.
